Meet The Director: Amie Harris
Amie Harris is in her 8th year as director of the Lake Ridge High School Eagle Elite. In that time the team has grown from 18 members to 50+ and the addition of a Junior Varsity team. They have won State and Regional Competitions and traveled to New York and California.
She was a member of the John Marshall High School Ramblerettes Dance Team. She received her Bachelors in Modern Dance from Texas Tech University and her Masters in Counseling from Angelo State University. She began her career in education as the Director of the Lampasas High School Flames from 2006 - 2009. From there she served as Dance Teacher and Drill Team Director of the Bastrop High School Honeybears from 2009-2014, the Elsik high School Revelliers from 2014-2015 when she relocated to Mansfield in 2015. She has served as All Star Drill Team Director for Dance/Drill Team Directors of America, a Senior Camp Staff and Contest Adjudicator for Showtime International.
She has a passion for teaching dance and directing drill team, as well as arts and crafts and is known for GLITTERING EVERYTHING.
She is married to Nathan Harris, who is a history teacher and football coach. They have 2 children, Evelynn and Bryant; 2 dogs, Marti and Molly; and 2 cats, Mickey and Minnie.
